Project Title:An integrated sales management and forecasting system for Win Stars
Technology.
Introduction:
Sales and stock control is an interdependent system. Because sales indicates the level
of stock required.The boundary of this business not only confined to making order for a
product.The project will be dealing with all the functionalities that are being performed
manually.It will focus on the different categories of function such as product order,
payments,and stock control management.
There will be number of stages involved to develop this project. To cope with the Actual
needs of the business, the system will focus on all the subsystems so that the required
feature matches to the final system. The proposed system will bring the optimum benefits
into the business by fulfilling users’ expectations.
Main outputs:From the software they want to find out several reports like daily,
monthly sales,inventory status, accounts reports, expenses reports and they also want
the information integration between all areas.
How data will be collected and input:All the opening balance are input from old database and some parts of information that’s can’t recover from old one input from hard copies by Stock control staff. Daily, what data will be input?
Users:The main users of this software are the sales Staff, Stock control staff. The top level management like Administrator will see the reports from their desk. What type of data will each user input?
Geographical area covered by project:This software will run within the Win Stars Technology in 100 Branches. How many branches?
How important it is for the client to have the project properly implemented:
The successful implementation is very necessary to our employees because they can not maintain the sales, purchase and stock control system. Whenever any time Administrator of the company asked any query to employees they couldn’t answer them properly. So they need the proper implementation of the software to answer all queries. The accurate report of all information is necessary to obtain for successful running of the activities of the Win stars Technology.
In any transition program there are a number of standard questions to answer and this
will be referred to as the process improvement model. According to our project theses
question are discussed below:
Question # 1. Where do we want to be?
Answer:
We are going to make this software for getting accurate result at right time and
making daily work simple and easy. These work included several module that’s
mentioned bellow: 1. Inventory for Win stars Technology. 2. Log in System(Create New user, Remove user, Set access privilege, Revoke access privilege ) 3. Data Maintain (Maintain Product, Maintain staff, customer and supplier). 4. Stock Control (Issue product quantity and received product quantity) 5. Purchase Products (Order goods, Purchase Products, Record Payment) 6. Sales Product(Check availability, Select Product, produce Invoice, Update Product)
Question # 2: Where are we now?
Answer:
We have already got the work by showing prototype. Now we are ready to start
developing software.
Question # 3: How do we get to where we want to be?
Answer:
We get it by following step……
1. First we visit the Win stars Technology & observe their daily work both manual works.
2. Write their manual work step by step for making our work easy.
3. Start developing software with individual module one by one.
4. Our several modules are Employee Log in System, Data Maintain System,
Stock Control System, Purchase Products System, Sales Product System.
5. After developed each module we submit it then start trail work with our new module
in parallel with previous one.
6.Inputs are taking from each department by the employee of concern departments in
a central database.
7. Then we check the report like sales statement, stock report, accounts reports.
8. Finding the error (if any) then solve the error.
9. After finalize the software we submit the user manual and all other required documents.
Question # 4: How do we know we have arrived? Answer:
When all of our reports are matched with previous one and correcting the previous
manual system we reach in a satisfactory level. Previous inventory and fixed asset register
do not exist. So we newly develop it and match the report with manual reports. After
satisfaction of concern people of each department we’ll finalize the work.
