Introduce the project to the class. Include:
  • main outputs
  • how data will be collected and input
  • users
  • geographical area covered by project
  • how important it is for the client to have the project properly implemented?

Project title: Teacher Student Class Feedback System for a University

Introduction

Teacher Student Class Feedback System is a community web based system where students can put their feedback on the given lectures.
The main the objective of this project is to arrange a collaborative learning environment in individual classes. The web based system is designed
to introduce the knowledge sharing by which three types of communication can be established, such as Teacher to Students, Student to Students
and Students to Teachers.

Main outputs

The main output of this system is the feedback, given by the students after the end of each class on class lectures.

How data will be collected and input

The data is posted by the students in individual course blogs, where a teacher can ask them different types of questions on the given lecture,
e.g."What one thing you want to learn more from today's class?" and the students posts their comments on "what one thing the individuals got hard to
understand". From the given comments the teachers can easily get an idea on the learning situation of his/her class. At the same time the students are
also have the options to put their comments on other student's comments. For example: if student1 ask a questions like "What is GUI?"; and student2
knows the answer of the question, then student2 can answer the question of student1 and this is how a virtual knowledge sharing environment can the
established in between the members of a class.

Users

The users of are mainly three types.
-Students
-Teachers
-Department Offices

Geographical Area Covered by Project

This project is online based and the users are university peoples, so this projects covers the geographical areas where internet are available.

How Important It is for the Client to have The Project Properly Implemented?

The project enables three things fro the university peoples.
- Students get time to brainstorm on the lectures and therefore they have the chances to find out their problems on the class lectures.
- Teachers have the chances to take their times for thinking as well as answering to the students to make a clear concepts in them.
- The department offices can easily track the of the lessons and evaluate the teachers performances.

Therefore the university will be benefited, if the project is implemented successfully throughout the university.

Question by Md. Masudur Rahman (101-25-152)
Question1: It’s a online system, so please mention that – ‘R u use in your own server or purchasing Domain + Hosting of any server?’ Md. Masudur Rahman (101-25-152)
Ans: Thank you for a very nice question.
This system can also be used from offline by setting in local LAN. If we do so, the system can be used by just calling the IP address of the
local LAN, therefore we do not need to purchase any Domain or other server etc.
But for online use through internet, I will suggest the university (who will use it), to host it in their own server and put a link on the university
official website so that the users can easily find the web address of the website instead of remembering the domain name. And we do not
need to purchase a new domain because if it is putted under directory of the university's domain. For example: feedback.xxxuniversity.edu.bd
Question2: You say that you have three user- Students, Teachers, Department Offices. But my question is – “Where the admin user??” Md. Masudur Rahman (101-25-152)
Ans: Yes, From the technical point of view you right of course.
Actually, I wanted to focus on the users who will get benefits by using the system, rather than the technical point of view.

But if we consider the types of users, then it would also add 2 more types of users
1. Web Administrator who will handle the web system and
2. Administration of the university, E.g. Chairman, Vice Chancellor, Registrar, etc. These users just look after the current situations
Thank you Masud.

Question by Ehsan Uddin Ahmed (ID # 101-25-155)
QUESTION: Is it possible to get report of feedback for a particular teacher? Ehsan Uddin Ahmed (ID # 101-25-155)

Ans: Thank you but I am so sorry that I could not get you.
This system will not generate any automated report because it do not need any calculation features or like something.
The main idea is to represent - which parts seemed easy to understand by the the students and what they get hard to understand?

A teacher can trace and feel the pulse of the class by using this system. Moreover he/she can upgrade the quality of his
teaching if necessary.

Thank you, Ehsan
