Introduction: Now it is the golden time of Information System which is basically depends on Software. The real life will be easier and accurate if the information system developed day by day. The Management of Dhaka Club decided to use Software from beginning of 21st century and they already used two different software but none of them was implemented successfully. Now they want real time software successfully implement in every sphere of the organization.
Main output: From the software they want to find out several reports like daily/monthly sales, inventory status, accounts reports, guest house reports and all expenses reports. And they also want the information integration between all areas.
Input: All the opening balance are input from old database and some parts of information that’s can’t recover from old one input from hard copies by data entry operator.
Users: The main users of this software are the Computer Operator level, mid level employees. The top level management will see the reports from their desk.
Geographical Area: This software will run within the Dhaka Club in several departments.
How important it is for the client to have the project properly implemented: The successful implementation is very necessary for our client because already they have tried two software which were failed. Whenever any member of the club asked any query to employees they couldn’t answer them properly. So they need the proper implementation of the software to answer all queries. The accurate report of all information is necessary to obtain for successful running of the activities of the club.
Susmita, can you find out exactly why the previous softwares failed? If you are connected with Dhaka Club it would be a good idea to build a prototype using a spreadsheet and macro to find the problems. This is outside the scope of the current SPM class, however, if you can do this, they may give you personally an order for developing and ultimately implementing the software.
Answer:The previous software was not user friendly. There was many scope of doing corruption. Because the previous software had not any security. For example any one can edit or delete any bill and there was no scope of tracking that person.

In this project I will use VB, Crystal Report and SQL Server.
Process: In any transition program there are a number of standard questions to answer and this will be referred to as the process improvement model. According to our project theses question are discussed below: Question # 1. Where do we want to be? Answer: We are going to make this software for getting accurate result at right time and making daily work simple and easy. These work included several module that’s mentioned bellow:
Þ Inventory for Restaurant, Central Store, Bar Store Þ Billing System for Mess, Bar, Bakery, Club Bazaar, Restaurant Þ Guest House Billing System with all Guest House Information Þ Accounting System Þ Pay Roll Þ Fixed Asset Register Þ Member Information System
Question # 2. Where are we now? Answer: We have already got the work by showing prototype. Now we are ready to start developing software.
Question # 3. How do we get to where we want to be? Answer: We get it by following step Þ First we visit the club office & observe their daily work both manual and previous software. We access the previous software for finding the problem. Write their work step by step for making our work easy. Þ Start developing software with individual module one by one. Þ Our several modules are Member Information System, Inventory, Billing, Guest House, Accounts, Fixed Asset and Pay Roll. Þ After developed each module we submit it then start trail work with our new module in parallel with previous one. Þ Inputs are taking from each department by the employee of concern departments in a central database. Þ Then we check the report like sales statement, stock report, accounts reports, member ledger etc. Þ Finding the error (if any) then solve the error. Þ After finalize the software we submit the user manual and all other required documents.
Question # 4. How do we know we have arrived? Answer: When all of our reports are matched with previous one and correcting the previous software’s error we reach in a satisfactory level. Previous inventory and fixed asset register do not exist. So we newly develop it and match the report with manual reports. After satisfaction of concern people of each department we’ll finalize the work.
